Ms. Alphonsine Murekeyiteto is the Acting Director of Allied Health Sciences Unit at Ndera Neuropsychiatric Teaching Hospital. In this role, she oversees the coordination of all Allied Health Services within the hospital and monitors the implementation of clinical protocols and therapeutic regimens to ensure high standards of patient care.

Ms. Murekeyiteto holds a Master’s degree in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics from the UPF Barcelona School of Management, obtained in 2021.

She began her professional career as a Pharmacist at Kibungo Referral Hospital (February 2010 - November 2011), where she was responsible for the management and oversight of hospital health commodities.

In November 2011, she joined Ndera Neuropsychiatric Teaching Hospital as a Pharmacist, a position she held until January 2024. During this period, she was primarily responsible for the management of psychotropic medications and the supervision of all health commodities, ensuring their appropriate use and compliance with regulatory standards.

Since January 2024, she has been serving as the Acting Director of the Allied Health Sciences Unit, providing strategic leadership and coordination for multidisciplinary health programs. Through her leadership, she contributes to strengthening healthcare delivery and advancing professional practice within the institution.
